Here is a letter from one of the parents and what they had to say about the Phenom Camp (CLICK HERE). Or you can CLICK HERE to read this article from the Idaho Press-Tribune about the camp and the program. 4. Qualify and Ranking. Some players will even get the chance to qualify for the national camp. Players are evaluated and can even be ranked like these players (CLICK HERE to see national rankings). 3. Meet the Idaho Select coaching staff. When players get to the 8th grade or older, they can participate in the Idaho Select team program, Idaho's premier club program. But, when you participate in the Idaho Junior Phenom Camp you get a chance to work with our coaches before the 8th grade. The coaches get a chance to meet you and work with you. And you get a chance to see how they coach and if this is something that you would like to pursue in the future. CLICK HERE to see our coaching staff from the last two camps. 2. See how the recruiting process works. When players enter high school, they will get the opportunity to be recruited. But, things are rapidly changing, especially in the last year. Here is an article by ESPN explaining one of the new recruiting rules (CLICK HERE). The more you know and can prepare the better off you will be. 1. Compete with and against the best. The most effective way to get better is to play against players that are better than you. Especially if they come from a different style of play. This gives you a chance to see your strengths and weaknesses, a key insight to making personal improvements. The Phenom Camp provides this element. Just look at where players this year and last year came from (CLICK HERE to see the different locations). |
